Michelle – Hospital Manager

Michelle attended SUNY Delhi where she earned her Associate’s degree in Veterinary Science Technology in 2013, and later began working full-time as an LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician). Eager to explore the business side of the industry, Michelle went back to school and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Service Administration in May 2017.

Michelle enjoys fostering animals and helping them find their forever homes. She is also the owner of two cats Tigerlily and Mama Cat (a foster failure), as well as a dog named Phil, with whom she spends most of her free time. Michelle and Phil enjoy outdoor festivals, hiking, and trips to the Hudson River. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Melissa – Veterinary Assistant

Melissa began working as a veterinary assistant 12 years ago and during that time she has worked at local animal shelters and animal hospitals while pet-sitting on the side. She knew at a young age that she wanted to work with animals and she genuinely cares for every animal she meets.

Melissa has an 11 year old black cat, Lokey, who means the world to her and rules the house. During her free time Melissa loves hiking, photography, exploring abandoned places, fostering kittens and spending time with friends, family and their 8 rescued cats.

Rhonda – Veterinary Assistant

Rhonda started working in the veterinary field in 1995 as a receptionist.  She began working with Dr. Frederick and Dr. Jankunas in 2017.  She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster veterinary technician program to obtain her associates degree as a licensed veterinary technician.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Vinny and her children Gianni and Angela.  She has several fur babies including her four cats Ashton, Cali, Espresso and Salem, a rottweiler named Shadow, and Rhode Island Red chickens.

Kristen – Veterinary Assistant/Groomer

From a young age, Kristen knew she wanted to work with animals. She has owned cats, dogs and many exotics over the years. Kristen attended PetSmart Grooming Academy in 2014 and worked there for a year and a half grooming, and continued to groom from home after that. Kristen also completed a Pet Grooming program with PennFoster, and received a Pet Grooming Certificate, as well as a Wildlife Rehabilitation Certificate and a Veterinary Assistant Certificate. In May 2016, Kristen started working as a Veterinary Assistant in Westchester county. Kristen is enrolled in PennFoster’s Veterinary Technician program online, on her way to becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the near future. Kristen recently moved to Dutchess County with her husband Austin and her furry, feathered and scaly kids.

Jennifer – Client Service Representative//Veterinary Assistant

Jennifer began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 5 years ago. During that time she adopted her Pit Bull named Oreo. While researching and learning about how to care for Oreo, Jen decided to go back to school to become a Veterinarian Technician. Jennifer is currently studying through Penn Foster to obtain her degree as a Licensed Veterinary technician. During Jennifer’s free time she enjoys dog sitting, dog walking, and playing at the dog park with Oreo.

Giselle – Client Service Representative

Giselle began working as a kennel assistant at the age of 15 and has always been interested in working in the animal field. She then worked as a Veterinary Assistant for 2 years. She spent several years working as a dental assistant as well as a front office manager of a hotel. Eager to return back to the veterinary field, she is very excited to be working as a receptionist at Pawling Animal Clinic. During her free time she enjoys reading, baking, and listening to music. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
